Fished the first Redfish Action tournament yesterday. Started off hot at our first spot with a 26" red on a doa jerkbait. Then we fished two more hours without a bite. Made a move to my backyard and they were waiting on us. Drew popped a 25" and 26" fish at our first spot. Then we popped six or seven more at the next two spots. Moved again and popped two more to finish the day. Had a good day of fishing on a day that started off with rain wind and overcast skies. The sun came out before noon and it turned out to be a nice day on the water. We finishes in second place being edged out by 4/100 of an ounce. Tough being on that side of a close battle for the win, but thats tournament fishing. Were happy with our day being neither of us were on the water for almost two weeks until the day before the tourney.
