Topwater reds with Toddles
27 incher that crushed a skitter walk The topwater bite is on. I took my 10 year old fishing this morning since she was out of school today. It didn't take long. Withing five minutes of splashing the boat we were hooked up with an upper slot red that crushed a skitterwalk topwater lure. It is nice to see that the fish have broken up from the larger schools and are filtering out in the marsh grass and feeding. We got another red on topwater within ten more casts. We left that bank and hit another bank I have not fished in a long time. We caught fish all along the edge of this flat on topwater and my daughter got them on gold spoons. The bite was hot and we left this flat without beating up the fish. Here are some of the pics. Book your trip now for May for I only have a handful of openings left for the month. This is the time of year you want to be on the water-the fish are starting to really chew and there are not many boats on the water. Tight lines, Capt Ren
